How to create a good morning routine

At Patch Fitness, we want you to excel during your personal training sessions, but also outside of them!

Waking up in the right frame of mind can be just as important as getting a good night’s sleep. We don't think it should be underestimated how much impact a good morning routine can have on the rest of the day.

It isn’t easy in England, waking up early when it is dark and cold, we can relate, it isn’t always easy, but we know that it is always worth it!

Here’s a collection of tips on how to create an unstoppable morning routine if you're feeling a little bit slow/ sluggish/ unmotivated in the mornings!

Take a look at the suggestions below, and then make a mental note of 2-3 things you know you can do every morning that make you feel great... And that sets you up well for the rest of the day!

TIPS ON HOW TO CREATE A GOOD MORNING ROUTINE

Getting to bed early, having a plan of action for the morning, having an optimal environment to wake up to in the morning.

In the morning, pick 2-3 things only that you know you can commit to, that make you feel great!

Here are some starting points:

  • Getting a workout in

  • Noting down 3 things you’re grateful for

  • Getting outside for some fresh air

  • Hydrating 1st thing with water

  • Having a shower (cold if you need waking up)

  • Enjoying a coffee

  • Putting on music that makes you happy

  • Sitting down to plan your day out, simple to-do lists can help set you up for the rest of your day.

These things can be small and simple, do what feels good for you!
