What really are the benefits of having a coach?
Everyone is at a different stage of their fitness journey, but a coach can be beneficial to people at all of these stages!

Maybe you have been going to the gym for years, but are bored of doing the same things and are loosing motivation. In this case, a coach is there to keep you motivated and change up your usual fitness routines, and get you out of that gym slump!
Goes to the gym but doesn’t see the progress desired?
Maybe you have been going to the gym for a while but are not really seeing the progress that you want. A coach is there to see your potential, and give you that extra push to reach your fitness goals! They are also there to help with your nutrition and come up with a plan that will help you see the results you want!
In this case, perhaps you are training for something in particular, such as a marathon, and you need to get your all round strength up, alongside your running, you would benefit from having a coach to guide you along this journey.
Suffering from injuries?
You may have been going to the gym and ending up with different injuries. This may be as a result of using weights not suitable for you, or from using incorrect form whilst exercising. A coach would be able to monitor your form and technique and make adjustments if needed, which makes the exercises more effective as well.
Scared to push yourself?
Scared to up your weights? Or never weight lifted before but want to try in a safe environment? Coaches can adapt the intensity and exercise difficulty to your ability, and make sure progress is being made. What’s great about Patch, not to toot our own horn, but we have a 4 week cycle where we keep the exercises the same, so that you are able to build up your strength in those areas. You should see a lot of improvement for each session you do in that cycle.
Just starting your fitness journey?
A complete newbie just wanting to start working on your health and fitness, and lacking some motivation? Coaches will be able to do all of the above in terms of teaching you how to do exercises properly, have a workout routine set and a nutrition plan set for you. They are there to keep you accountable for turning up too the sessions and working hard whilst you’re there.
